Monsters Collection 2
Now for the second part of the collection.
The Daggerath is a living pair of a sword and shield. The eye of this creature is in the shield while it's mind lies in it's sword, but it's heart is split in two. One half of the heart is in the sword and one half is in the shield and the Daggerath can only be destroyed if both sword and shield are destroyed at the same time. The sword and shield however float in the air while alive as if some phantom is holding them.
The Iron Golem of this sort is summoned pretty much like the Iron Golem in Diablo 2 is summoned. You have to use a metallic item and inscribe the symbol of infinity, then use the spell of construction on it to make that item into the golem. Only summoners and "flash" alchemists can use the spell, though. And the golem can only be destroyed by either badly damaging the symbol of infinity on its forehead to the point where the symbol's disfigured or badly damaging the golem until it can no longer function. When summoned the golem carries out the last order its creator gave it until it's destroyed. Even if the creator has already died.
The Exocerak is a monster with a hard body shell and a soft core. The shell has multiple openings in it to allow it to extend parts of it's body through the openings and use it as a polymorphing tentacle when can change it's shape and hardness. Only way to slay an exocerak is to strike the soft body core by either attacking it through one of its shell openings or by destroying its shell, then attacking its core body. The exocerak will fight back, so it won't be easy. Attacking it through the shell opening may be easiest though, because once the shell is destroyed it gains the ability to polymorph its entire body into anything, even other creatures. Normally it moves by causing itself to roll along the ground or walk or drag itself using its tentacle extensions.
FYI, if anybody decides to use any of my monsters in an RPG I'd love to know about it. I'd like to hear what happened when one of my monsters was faces against :D
