ever since becomeing aware that facebook patented the tech to keep your account posting even after you died i've kind of more actively begun just dropping off mass-used social platforms. It all seems to be headed down the same abyss

I hardly ever used facebook anymore as of the last few years, but this was the last straw for me. I began emptying my account of all posts, removing all friends on there, leaving only people who i might need to contact through facebook at some point (eg: family) and leaving my profile entirely blank.
I know that in a way it's somewhat futile, but I just feel gross using any of those kinds of platforms the last few times i even bothered to use them...
At least if i'm unable destroy my account before i die, it'll be entirely blank and empty. Assuming they don't just forcibly desecrate it with AI and slop, no sense in puppeting a dead person's account that's entirely empty of any posts or photos...
