So, the other day I was just working on art, minding my own business, when I feel this tingling on my wrist.
I hold up my hand to see what's going on, and I see this black ant come crawling out from the sleeve of my robe and onto the palm of my hand... before proceeding to stop and groom itself.
I couldn't stop grinning like an idiot. XD
In case you weren't aware, I have something of an affinity for arthropods, I find them fascinating... and generally endearing. X3
Ants, roaches, spiders... heck, even wasps have a certain angry-cute factor to them although since they're such bastards I'll still crush them if they bother me
I usually prefer to live and let live, and while I'll usually try to get 'em outside if they're in my room, there have been cases where I just leave 'em be, such as the conscious choice to allow a cellar spider to set up in the corner of my room, just behind my bed hehe
I don't get terribly many visitors at my computer, tho, never mind little buggos literally crawling through my clothes to greet me (although I'm convinced there are spiders living in my pants lmao) so I decided to sketch this to remember that ant. cx
...I did eventually have to send it back outside, tho lol

Darn skippy! Spiders in particular also serve a practical purpose if you keep them around, as they can help keep other pests down!
Of course, there are other insects that can be beneficial to have present, such as in a garden... but that's not something I'm well-versed in lol

I'm the same when it comes to letting bugs go when they end up in my room personally. But stinging bugs like wasps or hornet... Its on sight. That would be if I wasn't overtly terrified of them. I have a very nasty reaction to getting stung. It happened once when I was little. Never again.
Yeah, fair enough with stingers (and biters, too, I'm sure), especially if you have a physical reaction to the venom.
I guess I'm lucky, I've yet to discover any kind of serious allergies in my makeup... and I've been bitten and stung and all kinds of other fun things throughout my life lol
Hell, I used to handle spiders with my bare hands, which I'd still do today if I wasn't concerned for the possibility of getting a bite on the inside of my right hand; if that happened, it could very well impact my artistic endeavors haha
