In my AU, there's 2 separate Vannys. (Headspace) Vanny is meant to be a representation of everything Vanessa hides. IE, her trauma, her hidden desire, her guilt, her bloodlust, etc. That is why Vanny has green in her design, her eyes are meant to be a mirror into Vanessa's and the meat part of her suit are meant to be sections of Vanny's skin that were purposefully torn off to be a representation of the harm inflicted on Vanessa through childhood and the desire to take back through her bloodlust.



Vanny is essentially vanessas poison.



Vanessa is gonna be related to Afton and she's one of the few that survived (obviously). Just like in the movie universe, she was used as a device in William's murder schemes and when she grows older, she changes her last name to Shelly to try to detach herself from her father. However, Vanny uses her fathers abuse tactics against her which means that she technically never got away. <- This is also why Vanny is purple!



In this AU, Vanessa is essentially a fusion of game Vanessa and Movie Vanessa. She is also meant to have D.I.D. which developed at a young age due to the intense stress and trauma she faced as a child.



Within her headspace, there are 5 different alters that take on certain roles. List below v

CORE: Vanessa

HOST: Vanessa Afton/Shelly

PROTECTOR/GATEKEEPER/MEMORY HOLDER: Charlotte "Charlie" Emily

PERSECUTOR: Vanny

LITTLE/INTROJECT: Elizabeth Afton



A little bit more explanation:

Charlie most likely would've formed at an early age like 10-13 because of the intense trauma she was forced to face from what her father did, so Charlie formed as a protector that would usually take over whenever having to face their father. Charlie also takes on the roles of gatekeeper and memory holder, basically acting as the parent of the system (ironic considering people originally thought the marionette was possessed by a mom).

Vanny formed through her teen years, by this stage in her life is when her father REALLY started involving her in the murders and this caused months long dissociative spirals that helped form Vanny.

The original core Vanessa has been dormant for years and the Vanessa we know is an alter that formed in early childhood as well, initially a protector that became worn down over the years and ended up becoming the primary host at one point.
