next day, i was still slowly working on getting all the firewall settings right
though during this shift i focused on getting both devices up to date so they are in proper form to be configured via something called "management server"
basically it's a big computer that is used to control many firewalls without having to go to each one individually to make changes, pretty useful stuff!
