given recent news about wanting to shove government ID online verification down everyone's throat, a thought came to me: what if it came to the point where ID verification was built into device's BIOS?
BIOS (basic input/output system) is the software that runs before loading the full Operating System. It's like barebones interface which you can use to do very basic things to the computer.
imagine a nightmare scenario where to even get your computer to load ANYTHING AT ALL you need to mandatorily verify your ID
it feels far fetched, but at this point i wouldn't put it past the people in power to push for this
