Andrew's most trusted Pokemon. Eldest in the group, also strongest, but she does not fight. She travels alongside Andrew and basically acts like the mother figure of the whole group.

Given to Miriam as a gift from her husband while she was still a Combee, Veronica soon became the botanist lady's most valued Pokemon and trusted friend, especially after her husband's death. However, as years passed, so was Miriam's condition getting worse, and Veronica was aware of it-not even her honey, valued by citizens of Sandgem Town for it's medicinal purposes-was able to improve her friend's slowly decaying health. In the meantime, she also became good friends with a young Pokemon caretaker, Andrew, who often visited Miriam and kept her company, along with taking care of Veronica when Miriam couldn't. However, one day, during a walk with Miriam, the pair was attacked by a Team Rocket grunt, who heard of Veronica, and thanks to her size, thought she might be a good catch. Using a specifically modified PokeBall, he caught Veronica and ran away, leaving behind Miriam who could only cry out for help and watch as her friend was being taken away. Luckily for both of them, Andrew was close by and quickly realized what was going on, giving chase after the thief. He soon caught up with him and after a short fight, he reclaimed Veronica while the grunt escaped. Not long after, Andrew decided to go on a journey around the regions, and Miriam, realizing she probably won't live for much longer, and pondering how painful would it be for her old friend to see her die, she thought it would be best to send Veronica to accompany the young boy, disguising the whole thing as giving her Pokemon to him for safekeeping. However, Veronica realized why did Miriam do so, and at first didn't want to leave her behind. Miriam managed to talk her into leaving, as two friends exchanged their farewells, unknown to others...
It took some time for Veronica to recover, and as she realized Andrew cared about her as much as Miriam did, that fact only sped up her recovery and she moved on with her life, now accompanying Andrew, providing him with support and making sure his Pokemon are kept in line and disciplined. Elegant, always with a darling smile on her face, well-mannered and with all standards expected from a class act lady, however not without a temper-if someone she cares about is in danger, she will rise up in all of her might and fury, no matter how big the threat is-she lives up to the reputation of being the strongest Pokemon in the team.
While acting like a mother figure to the Pokemon in the team, she's pretty much the same towards Andrew-even if it bothers him sometimes, he admits it feels nice to have someone like her around to remind him of family.
