It is dangerous, sometimes, to go through your files just to see what's there. I found this story, and sort of kinda remembering it, decided to read. Sure enough, my eyes began watering like I had an onion close by, so I knew it was a good one. Because of that, I have decided to re-post it for those who might not have read it before.
By the by, for those who do not believe in ghosts, my daughter's first house was a new unit built upon what was once an American air base in England. (the runways were still there) We went to visit, and one night, as we were trying to sleep, it sounded like there was a party going on downstairs. We thought maybe the television was on and very loud, until our daughter poked her head into our room and asked if we were alright. She heard the same thing, and thought it might be us.
Enjoy, and please do always remember those who went before as they fought for we who had not yet been born.

Very touching story V, I recalled many RAF airmen during WW2 and cold war reported sightings of their predecessor who used their bases before them, most famous being RAF Montrose in Angus, Scotland.
Oh! My favourite christmas story. I posted the audiobook version as read by Alan Maitland on CBC many years ago, i think i'll post it again this year
