This here's my first ever fan art for the short-lived animated show, Road Rovers. And God I had a lot of fun drawing this up...Until I had to draw the ears and hands.
This is my Road Rover OC, a German Shepherd from New York. His name is X. Yes, that's right, just one letter: X. There's a story behind that name.
You see, ever since he's been a puppy he's been in and out of many homes, never having the luck of having a permanent home. He eventually became a stray, until he was found and recruited into the Road Rovers by Professor William Shepherd, simply known as "Master" to the Road Rovers.
His name originated due to his drifting from home to home. He's been given so many names that he himself doesn't know which name to take, which one would suit him. So he settled on a simple letter for his name: X. His reasoning being that the letter 'X' is a commonly used letter as a placeholder for an unknown name or variable. "Go to X street to reach X location" or "Buy X amount of items," as examples.
His superpower is incredibly high stamina, allowing him to go through overwhelming lengths without getting tired. He can also shoot energy blasts from his hands, which tap into and use this unusually high energy reserve of his. He's also capable of charging up these energy blasts for more powerful shots, but of course prolonged use of this ability without pause or rest will tire him out.
