Making a somewhat series of this now. Just some cute baby things Leo gets to work through since he's made his contract. and to work with the last one, a small story. If I get any more ideas for cute baby stuff for Leo to go through, I'll draw more of this!
It'd been a week since the contract was made, and honestly? Leo was surprised it was going on so long, he thought by now someone would've noticed he was gone...then again, if someone could make you a baby with a contract in one night...maybe no one knew him as his old self now? who knows. The past week had been a bit fuzzy as he got used to things. His memories were a bit confusing, everything from the past few years was in tact...but trying to think too far back made him annoyed, like he couldn't focus on the memory as well. But he could focus on it later.
Getting used to being so small was...honestly not too hard. He didn't like how he couldn't speak well, if he tried really hard he could say a few words, though they were clumsy and slurred, so he focused on using gestures to getting things for himself. The thing he didn't mind honestly where the diaper changes, sure, he was still embarrassed having someone do this, but he genuinely couldn't do it himself, so he just had to cover his face and ignore it. Something the big fuzzy man never ceased to fawn over him for.
He'd finally remembered the word he needed for who that man was though, a Bear! A big brown bear that kept watch over him. Leo had tried to ask his name before, but he would only ever call himself Leos "daddy", and he....didn't know if he wanted to call him that. So he'd been thinking of the man as Bear until he could find something with his name on it. For now Leo just got to spend time with Bear, and he was nice, he played with Leo, made nice food for them both, he was really warm and soft. The weirdest thing was how He got when the man was happy with him. Anytime Leo did something the man saw as cute or smart, he'd usually say something like "Thats my boy" or "Such a smart little guy", they were simple things but...it made him giddy, elated even. he could be trying to ask something, hear him say something like that and he'd be giggling and hugging Bear. He had been trying not to for the day, trying to focus on his own head.
If there was one thing Leo disliked about being small again, it was balance. Sure he wasn't agile before, he was a chubby, short lion....but now that was worse. His legs shook when he stood around too long, and taking steps felt a little weird and shaky sometimes, the thick mass tied between his legs didn't exactly help him either. He'd taken to using his toys to help balance himself now, at least if he lost balance, he could land on them and at least try again. He was just about to move towards the crib to grab his blanket when he heard the heavy footsteps of Bear.
"oh honey, are you using your toys to waddle around? Thats so smart! You deserve a treat for being such a smart boy!" Leo could only describe his voice like hot chocolate, warm, smooth and deep. The words though...he had to fight not smiling and trying to waddle over to the man again. Being told he was smart and getting treats for just standing around was good! but...he stopped, looking over to the crib and pointing at it while facing Bear.
"Oh, did you wanna nap first? Okay honey, let's clean up then, okay?" Bear smiled, picking up the Lion. "Cleaning up" was mostly just putting two soft blocks away, so maybe he just ed used this to grab the lion earlier. But he'd happily move to lower the lion into his crib. However as he turned to leave, he'd catch the smallest "buh!" from the crib, to catch Leo standing, holding onto the top bar, now holding his blanket. He'd wait before watching the Lion reach out for him again, pointing out.
"Don't wanna nap in there huh?" Bear was smiling. "okay, how about We get you that snack now and you can nap with Daddy on the couch huh?"
Leo didn't have much of a way to agree past repeating the same sound, not wanting to push just to say okay. Heck he didn't even wanna nap...but being picked back up and held against the man...the warmth was making him reconsider the idea as he made the closest sound he could to a purr. Bear simply smiled and carried the lion cub off out of the room and into the house.
