This day was when my brother bought me Animal Crossing New Horizons off the Nintendo eShop. I begs to play it and…
…I feel in love with the game. This game got me through hard times during that period, through lockdown, high school graduation, college, and now through my real-life job. This game was escapism, and one of the best moments of 2020.

To celebrate the occasion, I’ve put together me and my villagers who’ve been on my island since the beginning. I have my clothes from my very first day in the game. Hamlet and Hazel have been with me ever since starting. Hornsby is my first villager I hunted, Hippeux is my first villager who visited the campsite, and the list goes on. I would’ve put in a couple more, but I’d rather stick with ones that’ve been with me since then.
Next month is the first anniversary of when I started my account here, though I’d rather celebrate it this month as that’s when I began Animal Crossing in general. I’d like to thank these users that’ve been with me since:

I’m glad to know that Animal Crossing helped you through hard times, it was an escape for me too and still is to this day! (Even if I haven’t been playing it much as of late.)
It’s also nice to know you got most of your villagers still yet living on the island, and that they’re getting to live such comfortable lives there!
And that Barold gets to be with Maple, them goobers deserve to be happy, they all do.
I’m surprised it’s been nearly a year since you’ve joined on here too.
I get why you’d rather celebrate this month though, makes me think I need to throw another celebration with my villagers again! XD

It’s always a pleasure seeing your meaningful reply. I would’ve started earlier if it weren’t for Stella and Walt. They two got me procrastinating and burned out.
If it weren’t for my brother, I wouldn’t be into Animal Crossing in the first place! He deserves a W. Hazel really reminded me of my Half-Sister (which shares the same birthday as Maple), and so did Hamlet with my cousin who’s 7 years and a month younger than me. Sure, they’re just repeating the same stuff as before, it’s makes you feel that you’re not alone. Barold reminds me of Bubble Bass from SpongeBob because of his neckbeard portrayal, and his name is like Harold the Helicopter from Thomas & Friends.
I hope that other celebration art of yours doesn’t drive me to drink <XD (talk about subtle foreshadowing)
I will continue to enjoy AC, as long as there’s a new update or new game coming soon~
