I don't know why, but for some reason pancakes make me smile when I eat them or even just looking at them. Maybe it's the soft texture, the way it's laid out, or that my mom made them for me and my brothers for special occasions. This comic is actually based on the scene in Ratatouille when Ego took his first bite of the meal, and it somehow reminded him as a kid when he felt sad and his mom cooked some to cheer him up. In my case, I was very sad because a balloon I had popped. My mom decided to whip up some pancakes to make me feel better, which I thought tasted delicious!
