This is a version of the Rye body core. Formed of two throw blankets and some XXL trousers from a charity shop it must have cost less than £10 in raw mateirals. It's supposed to look like a husk around a smaller grain core. I think the trousers help the spikelet aspect. I'll stitch fur scraps onto them to make them more fursuit-like.

I cut it out yesterday night on the bedroom floor and then the morning after got my flatmate to be a model. I started with the smaller throw blanket and then threw on the husks and stitched it on. It was a blast. We talked and talked whilst i got the basting down done so i could do some high-quality stitching on my own. She accidentally gave up nicotine and i enjoyed my time alone, turns out.

When i get the tail and arms costumed out, it should look slightly more furry. Especially with the head when i get that done. The body seems to indicate an oversized head, tbh.

Oh and also, guess what genre of poster's on our door :p the door onto the hall with brilliant acoustics. Gosh, i'm so lucky to have my flat like this, with all these funny people. Eh, this town is known for making mad hatters. My grandmother says that ever since I started studying there i've gone absolutely mad. Photos of me hanging out with fursuiters and me in my bodysuit and my trousers so big i'll "walk straight out of them". Eh, it's like all fursuits. She tries it on and realises that its actually really cozy and she wants more. I guess that's a common theme with fursuits - going from a certain distance to a sudden realisation of "omg this is so nice". And anyways old people and blankets is a known good match.

It's a great source of entertainment, crazy grandchildren who always come back with something new.
