Wow is this ever a great picture! Of course, a pretty subject and all that (nice fashion and I also noticed the toe-shoes, heh :) ), but it's just also just really nice scenery. I love nature myself and the lighting here worked very well. That tree you're on is really, really, really awesome, all twisted and knotty and such.

Interestingly enough, there's a very similar scene to that in my back yard, which I attempted to use as a setting in a friend's pencil drawing of human-me dipping a foot in the water while unicorn-me was resting his head in my lap. It came out pretty well, but admittedly I didn't have the trendy footwear. ;)

Also I need to say, that angle makes you look nowhere near your profile-stated age, for better or worse. :)

It's the burled roots of a maple tree jutting over the stream where the soil has eroded away. I lounge on it every year I visit. Nambroth takes beautiful photos!

It's a park near some friends I was visiting in Western New York.

Oh, very nice. Upstate New York is for sure on my bucket list...

Upstate is a different part of NY but it's very pretty there too!

well ya its a different area >.=.< but separately upstate is on my bucket list... I had thoughts more in the Gore mountain area in winter for the skiing or in the fall for all the pretty lakes and greenery.

BTW question. I haven't worn my five fingers in water yet... do they rub/feel weird or do pretty well?

If they get grit in them they can rub uncomfortably; It's nice to have a change of shoes but not necessary. Different people may not like how they feel wet but I don't mind it terribly compared to say, wearing wet socks.
