Nightmare from Metroid games.
I loved Metroid games on GBA, but I hate Metroid Prime (a long fucking story with this game). I did'nt played others Metroid games, maybe I'll play Super Metroid who looks very awesome. But I need to finish my current before start new ones.
Well.
Nightmare was a boss who really impress me in Metroid fusion. When I seen its shadow in the level 5 I think "Oh shit, what's the Hell is this thing?!". And when I when fighted it... I cryed how this boss is hard.
For the pic itself I wanted to play with lights, but the poor boss looks more like a plastic toy than a metalic weapon. I tired to add a background but it sucked. Maybe I'll make a new one later.

Actually yes, if you like the GBA ones, Super is sure to make you happy. I also share your un-popular opinion about prime.
But anyway, I also like Nightmare. The way they first presented him was awesome, and made even more so by the fact that hes actually a threatening boss. It's rare that you see a buildup actually pay off in a video game. He gave me more of a problem then any other boss in that game. I was actually listening to his theme the other day while drawing. It's very catchy:

I don't think the prime games are bad games, in fact I like #2 because of how HUGE it is; flipping between the light & dark world. But even then these games are just ok. My favorite thing about Metroid is the play style, which prime killed right off the bat. Seeing your character from afar while controlling the direction they shoot is a superior platforming experience, and to compliment that the 2D Metroid games had a wider and more complex range of level design. That all had to be nerfed for the prime games, because you can only platform so much in a FPS, which just goes to show it shouldn't have gone in that direction to begin with. Metroid never seemed fitting for an FPS anymore then Mario or Zelda.
Now even though I hated the story and what they did to samus, I did enjoy Other M, and I thought it was a superior experience to the prime games, simply because it kept to the original play style of Metroid. That's what I find fun about Metroid above all else, and you can't really take that away anymore then you can take mario's jumping ability away.
For the record, I think SotN and Shadow Complex are also superior metroid experiences compared to Prime, and those games don't even have Samus XD

I guess growing up playing metroid prime 1 (as a favorite game) just kinda makes me biased towards it,
though i do admit, the sidescroller 2D Metroid series were great.
I didnt think the Prime series ruined the story either (probably cus it was the first story i heard of it :P )
That and the music made me swoon. I still have nostalgiac moments to this day.
(Phendrana Drifts being my fav music)

In all honestly, I never played Fusion. So when this guy appeared in Other M, I was really surprised at how strange this enemy was. Really liked his design overall too.
I think your drawing looks great, though it looks more stone to me than plastic or metal. Still great work though.
