Cover art for my upcoming fanfic Daring Do and the Curse of Avarice. I'm hoping to start posting the story on Monday and it'll run on a three chapter a week schedule every MON/WEDS/SAT until it's finished. I'm really excited for it. The story is packed full of fetishy cartoony shenanigans and I think it's vastly superior to my previous fetish fic outing (coming soon, here on Furaffinity). Hope to see you on Monday for the prologue.
The cover art depicts a scene from Chapter Two where Daring encounters the first trap of many she'll fall into while trying to retrieve the artifact of the story, the Medallion of the Carta Portis. Originally, she wasn't depicted in the art and her flattening was only implied by her hat, but I realized it wouldn't be hard adding a bit of muzzle and hoof poking out to turn it into actual full-blown fetish art.
This is the first actual flattening fetish art I've ever drawn and I like how it turned out. It's also the first time I've opened a vector art program in a decade. I'd forgotten how much I like doing vector art, even if it does take a lot longer than simply collaging a bunch of other stuff together. I'm hoping to draw some more scenes from the story, but we'll see. Anatomy's going to be the big roadblock in that regard. The white space at the bottom is intentional and is there for the chapter titles.
On the technical side, the art was drawn in Inkscape and took about ten hours, total. It was drawn using a mouse and keyboard. Color references for Daring's body and the pith hat were taken from mlpvector.club.
It also appears Furaffinity may have resized the original file based on the upload page. If that's the case, you can find the original 4000x4000 version over on DeviantArt.
