Fixed the shadow so it shows up. Also adjusted the right arm. I think it makes alot more sense now. Added a line to the ear so that also makes more sense. Enjoy.
There were to challenges I wanted to face when I started drawing this.
A. I wanted to see if I could draw a creature designed by someone else but in my own style.
B. I wanted to decide the expression before I begun instead of as allways before, just go with the expression that the figure happened to get.
I think I succeeded quite well. I was going for wonder, staring up at something wondrous. And I think that was what I achieved. Please share your own thoughts.
The Belexi is an androgynous anthropomorphic alien rabbit carnivore from the Swedish spaceopera RPG Skymningshem, andra imperiet. They were designed by Simon Berger and are thus copyrighted to him.
See this page to view what I had for reference (scroll down): http://www.foxtail.nu/shi2/ow.asp?RasBelexi
Edit: I gave the terrain some features and made the shadow a bit more uneven. I think it makes the shadow look more like a shadow. You might need to press Shift reload to see the new version.

Thanks! People do seem to like the face.
Since they usually (not allways) move on all fours it made sense that he would be in that position after coming to a halt.
That I ended up a bit to close to the paper edge also had something to do with it, though...
