Colouring my next comic/trade thingy is taking ages... Putting all the flats in is kinda tedious too, so I finished colouring this one today as a snack.
Mr. Menzora is by no means the most influential or powerful wizard living in my fantasy world, but he might be the most stubborn one. He is very self-assured and arrogant... The kind of person who cuts open small furry things and calls it "science".
Ripkin is his little familiar. Mr. Menzora is not a very strict master, but he makes sure that the magical bracelets on Rip's arms keep the sneaky demon in control. The wizard has also made quite a lot of money breeding more familiars and selling them to other magic users. Most of Ripkin's cubs (children, whatever) have been sold and never seen again. Rip doesn't really mind... At least not much.
As before, Ripkin belongs to me. Mr. Menzora belongs to my roommate who likes RPing self-centered men.

My friends all think that Long range combat is stupid... But hey, Who in the group is the most effecient? Me the archer... *pulls out a bow and arrow* I can even hit the fairy above Links head right now if i wanted to.
Navi- Link, We must hurry to the great deku tree at once.
Me- *aims at Navi* Perfect. *shots the arrow which hit Navi directly and kills her instantly* I always hated Navi anyways.

However, the likeness of the names is astounding. Menzora's unofficial original name is Menzobera, but me and my roommate found that it was a bit too close to comfort with Menzoberranza (sp?) from Salvatore's fantasy world, so me and my roomie changed it.
But to be honest, we just call him The Wizzie 'cause he's the only wizard of importance in our stories. ^^

Oh, and I don't particularly like Mr. Menzora's attitude either. He's a nasty old git! But he's been playing an important part in me and my roommate's stories from ever since we were still kids, so he's still pretty dear to us. =)

I intended it to look like a magebane of sorts, but to be honest I have little clue what magebanes actually look like... =P
But yeah, Rip hangs around at Malek's lodge every now and then. The wizard has given Ripkin a permission to roam around - otherwise he would get bored. And the wizard doesn't need his services all the time. =)

Mr. Menzora isn't very concerned with ethics when it comes to "science" and money. Ripkin has a sister called Lovkin and they've managed to create some offspring.
Also, there are creatures in my fantasy world that are genetically as distant to Ripkin as a potato is to an alligator. But they look a bit like Rip and with perverted skill and patience the wizard has managed to create crossovers by ushering Ripkin and his kin in the same bedroom with these creatures. Needless to say, the family tree makes a lot of awkward loops. Thankfully there are no family get togethers. ^_^;;

The background is... I'm not sure what it is, but it's really neat. Looks like it could be either a deep smokey haze or a span of caverns leading into the depth of a mountain or such.
Really neat looking, either way. And of course the characters are neat, as well. I love Ripkin. :D

Best parts are probably the metals and Rip's eyes, they shine shine shine so that the clothes don't really get 'their' existence noticed right away but that ain't really bad however it may sound :3
..gah, I'd actually have a couple of pics I should scan and even more to draw but I'm lazy. Nice that someone other is creative XD

Awesome backstory. Demented/unethical characters usually make for some interesting personalities. Reminds me of a sorcerer that one of my friends in college played, he had a similar fascination with dissecting anything that he or the rest of the party killed during the course of their adventures.
I like the expression that you put on him. Very intense, analytical, yet unemotional, as though he's sizing you up and taking in every detail, and likely wondering what scientific and monetary value your various body parts hold. The spearhead is also a very cool design. It looks appropriate to a fantasy world, yet still practical for combat. Great work!

Thank you kindly! I love somewhat unethical, demented, selfish, weak or otherwise "faulty" characters. Characters subtly spiced up with these kind of personality errors are much more interesting to rp than one-sided characters; Black Sorcerer™ or White Knight™ and so on. ^^
The one who doesn't understand magical markings is me, I'm afraid. At the time I drew these symbols I read from a website what they meant and I got the impression that they were of protective nature. That was enough for me.
I personally don't believe in alignments or anything. Evil is a culture related concept. Although I think that the wizard is a real bastard, he himself thinks that there is nothing wrong with his methods and that he's a very civilized and jovial person. He would never question his own ethical views. =)
