I'M SAD. The instant I saved the 'FA Friendly' size, I hit close... and hit 'yes' to the other save prompt, thus destroying the real copy that was four times this size. GO ME. Looks like this is what we all get to see of it, detail or not.

Actually yes; I had the PSD format, which was the main file-- I downsized it long enough to save a PNG format for submission... then hit 'close' on the program. In habit, since I'd been frequently doing so, I hit 'yes' on the save prompt when it closed-- something it always asks in order to back up the PSD, the main file. So the PSD was left in submission size when I closed out, and having realized it, I was agape... again, go me.
Oh! :s well, one thing I always make a habit of doing is -not- using the program I create a work in to actually save a flat file for submission. I compress the layers briefly, select the canvas, copy it, paste it into another application, then undo the layer compression and save. That way, I never lose any work I might have, but I also keep many many "history" like layers that are snapshots of the painting's progress over the weeks/months/etc.
Mm. I used to do something similar, but it seems like most of my programs strip away the quality on this sort of piece when I make the clipboard transfer. Photoshop's the most capable program I have at the mo... for future's sake I'm going to clone the file before compressing it, so if something does screw up, I don't suffer for it.
