20 inches and 342 rings of OMFG. It looks REALLY cool but unfortunately doesn't have a lot of give. I most likely won't be making any more necklaces of it unless I drop ring sizes, which will mean MORE rings :/ MADNESS. A gift attempt for the mate
kizakitty This chain would make wicked key charms though :D

I see! :o
Order mine online, I do. Very expensive shipping. >__< They're a little larger than yours are, though the thickness of the metal is rather more thin. I've a Full Persian weave that isn't this long and is more flexible... hehe, that's just strange.
It is a lovely piece, and nice to see. Good work, and good luck on getting a cutter. :3

Haha, yesssss I've experienced that as well! Although it's nice to have a few prettily pale blue rings in a pile on the corner, it's not at all fun when you ordered blue rings on three separate occasions and on three separate occasions wind up with three entirely differing shades of blue. >>;
Oh, cool. I use galvanized steel wire. it's cheap, good for practice, and really tough. I wish I could find a decent pair of wire cutters though. I've broken the tip off of two pairs of wire cutters and one pair of bolt cutters.
That stuff is murder on your hands to cut, too. Good thing it's so tough and durable.

Steel is great for armor pieces (I'm starting to work on them) but I like aluminum and other lighter metals for jewelry. It's affordable (so my rates stay low) and much easier to work with. I do a lot of work with my hands instead of pliers (BAD ME) but I sure couldn't with steel. I really want my own saw cutter :)
Oh man, don't get me started on the closures on this piece. It already pulled a ring apart. I was honestly using a very bad aspect ratio for this one, next attempt I'll probably either use slightly larger rings, or skip a captive red every other segment, etc. I appreciate the critique and the compliment :3
I've only been mailing since August of this year (neeewb) but I honestly love it. I get orders from people at work CONSTANTLY (just got another today) but I'm really looking forward to upgrading my rings so I can offer better products, faster. I just wanted to say thank you again for your comments, and for the links you posted up above here, I'd heard of BB before but not Spider, looks like a great source for more precious metals. :D I added you to my AIM list (hope you don't mind), I'd love to chat sometime and geek out about metal rings :D
