Finally got around to drawing my paratroopa OC, Koopi!
He's a shy but loyal parakoopa and he's got a special outfit! In the story I have for him, he was one day pulled out of training and told that King Bowser wants to see him. He was understandably very nervous; he'd only ever seen Bowser giving talks or in photos and was not nearly important enough to even warrant his attention — he was just a foot soldier after all!
He was surprised when the king of the koopas himself told him that from that day on Koopi would be his personal servant, giving him a much more comfortable shell and boots as his uniform and as a way of setting him apart from the other koopas.
By the way, it's my headcanon (and I know it's pretty harshly disconfirmed by all of the games) that paratroopas' wings are part of their bodies and not just attached to their shells.
