StrongFeathers 2: Splat of Paint - QFilms #9
After the grotesque failutre of Obligatory Sports Movie, we had the StrongFeathers Franchise with the Boom of Superhero Movies of the late 2010s.
Strong Feathers had beaten Doctor Mutation in his first outing, and had to fight Splatail, in the second movie.
What's shocking is he actually lost in the second film, and it was up to his two partners Bravefeathers and GirlFeathers, to stop him, Splatail and save the city. You see at the start of the film Strong Feathers didn't want either of them as his partner and failed to see their worth. But at the end, it was them and local news reporter Adam Carr, who saved the day! In the end of course StrongFeathers finally accepts his two partners and they go on to fight, a character named: "Deity of Eternity" in the third movie.
I mean it was ok, most critics agree that it was a fine film, if unremarkable. The best part was Splatail, now that's a good movie villain! Wish he had gotten that spin-off show they planned to make, before the company went bankrupt.
Superheroes! YEAH! This is a more generic Superhero movie, but I think it has it's appeal, right? Turning into a corrupted evil version, that's always fun!
Don't quite love the colors on Slimy's hero suit, but we work with what we've got.

Oh yeah, it's one of my favorites! So glad you loved it. It's also very well complimented by David Lynch's preceding film Lost Highway and his followup film Inland Empire; the three films taken together, sometimes called his Los Angeles trilogy, capture these pervasive feelings of alienation and disassociation that really come together to paint the city as a truly otherworldly place where the rules of existence are negotiable. If you've ever seen his television series Twin Peaks, you might also recognize emergent thematic parallels around the properties of electricity, wood, and television.
Definetly neeed to watch more of Lynch's films now, crazy that the only thing I've had seen from him was Twin Peaks! ^v^
One thing though is that I'm definetly in the process of figuring out how a surreal psychological Tf would be like, specially for this series of images...

Your earlier Genie series had a kind of surreal multi-worlds feeling to it, if you read all the pages back-to-back. Maybe you could do something with that idea of the same person turning into multiple things/people, or multiple lives kind of fighting for each other - IE Quetzal can't remember if he's an actor, or the character he's playing, or the prop his character is holding.
