Wanted to share this with you guys ^^
I was mucking around in Photoshop today trying to get some kind of solid idea to get onto the canvas. I have about 4 commissions with good ideas but not enough of an attention span to finish a sketch for any of them. XD So I decided to do something a bit more constructive with my ADD-ness and just do a speed painting.
I hadn't really wanted to do one this large, but I figure it can work as a nice wallpaper when/if I decide to get rid of my Clemi/Patch FiM style wallpaper lol.
Anyway, the main focus of this one is of course a Bohemian Waxwing(ala title of the pic). I *adore* these birds. Like they have to be the most gorgeous avians on the planet in my eyes. They have such a subtle change of colors over their body and to realize that faint gradient is done with layers of feathers just blows my mind. I am however a tad upset with this one, it didn't turn out as close to the bird as I would have liked. But I do enjoy it enough to share it with you guys and gals! ^^
