eh I got type 1 now almost died on monday was in the ER on monday then stuck basically 3 days in the hospital x3; now SMILE

eh, dunno, remember when I quit FA/DA forever and ever a few years ago? preety much the same deal, the 'why am I doing this at all?' and yes, the crushing feel that people seem to be in this more for the sex than for the actual art depressed me




but then, I dunno, I realized I should be drawing for myself, it takes a while to get to that conclusion because it's not just a matter of repeating it as a mantra, but more of understanding it and feeling it deep inside trough experience and what not



if you feel a rest is needed, be it, but don't drop the pencil, at least try and keep it alive now and then by sketching random stuff you see around, when you least expect it, the spark will rekindle~

of course I love your art and I am always happy to see moar, but, as someone who went trough a similar situation, I can just give you my honest and unbiased advice, and yeah, if taking a break is the way to go, then do so until you find your inner motivation again~

Wooow you really are feeling exactly the same as me! I kind of feel like I want to give up drawing all together. it's just not fun anymore. Being on the internet and having watchers stresses you out, you feel like you have to draw certain things for them, and you feel pressured to work harder so no one judges you harshly for being unable to draw certain things etc etc.

Really though, I think you should just take a break and draw don't bother drawing again until YOU really want to, until YOU really feel like it and YOU really enjoy it! That's what I'm trying to do anyway.

Yeah I feel it to be that way as you do. The users here are stressful. Even in my MSN they bug me about artwork. I'm gaming now to keep my mind off it.

I honestly think there's no way the magic is going to come back.

God tell me about it! Some of the people who have added me from FA are fantastic! But some of them, ALL they ever want to talk about is porn. Specifically, furry porn from FA. My drawings, other people's drawings, commissions they got, commissions they want, characters they're designing for commissions. A lot of them try to get me to brainstorm with them, and I'm just like, dude it's your commission/character, just tell me what you want. It's really frustrating. And when you post stuff, if you draw things they don't like they're fucking quick to tell you. And they'll often REMIND you "hey you're not drawing enough x". Some people have very little respect for us artists!

You shouldn't get down though! It will come back eventually. You're still stressed out, just give it time to go away. Best thing to do is take a break from all your art sites! That way you won't be pestered and you won't have to worry about it.

Then they'd want you to draw something for them like all the time and they do no such thing to pay back such kindness, artistic or not.

Oh tell me about it. I've had people try to guilt me into drawing them stuff. "It's my birthday and no one cares =(", "my dog died", "I broke up with my significant other!" People really do say things like that to me, then try to get me to draw them stuff. I'm sorry x bad thing even happened to you (if it really did) but I'll draw people things if I choose to >:1
