River the panda had a basketball game later in the day, but he was determined to not lose, by any means necessary.
River decided he would try out a new brand of protein powder for his shakes, hoping it would perhaps give him an edge in the upcoming game. Around an hour before the match, he made his shake, ignoring the serving size on the keg of powder and deciding to dump ALL of it in his blender. “It’s sorta sludgy…but it doesn’t matter! Anything to beat those idiots into the ground!” River said with determination and chugged the beige sludgy liquid. It tasted vaguely of chocolate, but its main profile was that of chalk, and sometimes unidentifiable and strange. River thought nothing of it, and got ready for the game.
He arrived at the basketball court and greeted his teammates, and stared down the opposing team, whom they’ve lost to for the past six games in a row…but, with that new protein powder, River thought he had it in the bag!
The game began, and they were actually doing decently better than usual! “Ha! This must be the powder! I knew it would work” river though to himself, which were indeed his famous last words…halfway through the match, River felt odd…he felt a deep and powerful gurgling in his belly, and he looked down in shock and worry as he saw his belly looked a good deal larger then usual, now extending over his waistline, and jiggling slightly with each step he took. His teammates oddly didn’t notice, and kept playing the game, so River attempted to ignore his concerns and continued to play.
However…his belly persisted in its gurgling, sounding like a bottle of water, sloshing and gurgling so loud it was starting to be noticeable to his teammates. River groaned and held his gut, and then got hit with a terrible feeling…he felt a odd gurgle, and a bubbly feeling in his lower abdomen…he felt a fart coming on…and it wasn’t gonna be a small one…
He sucked through his teeth and shook his head, determined to finish and win the match, and not allow himself to be embarrassed, because he knew, if he let one rip, everyone there would never let him forget it. Ever. However, that was his biggest (no pun intended) mistake…
With each moment he refused to pass gas, his belly growled and gurgled louder, and grew and grew…the subtle nose of his belly getting bigger and bigger was slowly getting louder and louder…
River thought he was doing okay, until he was open for a pass, but that pass was the pass that made things go downhill…as he stood with his arms open, a tiny toot escaped his posterior. He grit his teeth and his face turned red from the strain of holding more in, he began to sweat, and as he stood there, waiting for the pass, his belly only grew bigger and bigger.
“C-cmon! I-I’m open!” River strained, but the ball never came, as everyone stared in shock as rivers belly was now touching the cement. River looked down and his eyes went big. “Uh um…haha it’s uh…um…” he stammered, and tried to take a step, but slipped on his own fat, and fell flat on his butt. That was the end of it all.
With a powerful loud blast, everything he was holding in during the match shot out in a huge cloud of green. Trees bent, grass took cover, and his teammates plugged their noses and tried to stay put. River continuously got bigger and bigger, each blast causing him to only grow more and more.
His teammates panicked as rivers belly started to take up the court, and his entire body began to fill their surroundings. Some ran, some tried to help, some only stood in shock and perhaps some slight awe. River kept growing and growing…until it stopped…
By the time it had stopped, rivers body now was taking up the entire court, his body spilling slightly through the fence, and the area had a faint odor to it. One of rivers teammates, Dario the mongoose, climbed his way up to rivers face and took a belch to the face point blank to ask “are you good man? That was pretty sick…in both ways.” He said. River groaned and looked at his friend “…am I least soft?…” he asked, looking for any sort of consolation. Dario layed on his friend and sighed “mm very…but hey don’t sweat it yeah? These things happen! One time I ate something that disagreed with me and I ended up blowing away some poor small animal behind me.” Dario said in an attempt to reassure river. River smiled and nodded slightly “cool…but…what about the game?…who won?…what do we do?” He asked. Dario thought, then smiled “oh we won. If they disagree, just tell em you’ll do what you did here again, in their house. I know where each one of em lives, and I’ve got the means of sneaking us in…” he said with devious intent in his tone. River laughed deeply and nodded “right…so…now what?…” he asked and looked at his massive body.
Dario thought, then said “well…I’ll call my cousin, he knows a guy whose got a pretty strong crane.”
That day, River learned to not trust odd suspicious brands of protein powder…however, later that week, he found a gummy that claimed would give you strength! Which just ended up being THAT sort of gummy…poor poor river, he’s just not built for this sort of thing at all…
