May has arrived and so has the latest monthly schedule of Scratchpad! The weather’s getting warmer, there’s more daylight, and here we are to add to the feelgood vibes of Spring with our gaming streams! And not only is it May, but it’s MEGA MAY, a month where we celebrate the series of Capcom’s robotic hero, Mega Man!
Mega Man 1 & 2 kick off our Mega May on Monday the 4th at 4PM Eastern US. Mega Man 3 & 4 are set to broadcast later that week on Wednesday the 6th at 8PM Eastern US. On Tuesday, May 12th, we’ll be cruising the Blue Bomber through Mega Man 5 & 6, and through Mega Man 7 the following day on Wednesday the 13th, as Capcom’s star transitions from 8 to 16-bit. And lastly, on Sunday the 17th and Wednesday the 20th, we get a taste of 32-bit Mega Man in Mega Man 8. Watch out, Dr, Wily! (And did I mention, Rush is the cutest robo-dog ever?)
Mega May isn’t all Mega Man games, though, as the return of a 90’s gaming icon gets the Scratchpad treatment on Friday the 22nd. Launching on that day, courtesy of Atari, is Bubsy 4D, a game so promising after playing the demo, you now just couldn’t help but ask “What could possibly go wrong?”
Speaking of felines and the 90’s, did you know the SWAT Kats had a game for the SNES? Razor & T-Bone, Megakat City’s finest, will be in the Scratchpad spotlight on the 26th. (Just don’t tell Commander Feral. He’s salty enough over the fact he, himself, doesn’t have his own video game.)
Lastly, on Thursday the 28th, we return to Mouseburg for more Mouse P.I. For Hire. I know you’re just as excited as I am to explore that rubberhose animated environment and hear Jack Pepper’s awesome voice again!
