I finally decided to show this to the world because I figured it would be really cool to have my own superhero team that I made up. These are the newer designs of each of the Alpha Heroes, based loosely on the Teen Titans. I wanted to base them off of Teen Titans Go, but I figure most of everyone over the age of fourteen (besides me) thinks that Teen Titans Go is too silly and goofy, and overall too stupid compared to the original. So I decided to base them off of the Teen Titans as a whole, not from any specific incarnation. I also used bits and pieces of Codename: Kids Next Door as a basis for certain parts of the whole idea of the Alpha Heroes. For example, they do have this place where they hang out, but they don't live there. The Alpha Heroes have their own families and stuff, too.
I drew the original version of the Alpha Heroes on June 6, 2019, but I took it down from the Internet a little while after I put it up because one of the Alpha Heroes was originally Kia, a slime OC of
LiquidProtean’s (who is on Fur Affinity). Unfortunately, it turns out Kia prefers to work alone rather than as part of a team, and besides, she is planned to appear in the “Ethan Against the Universe” main canon. The Alpha Heroes, on the other hand, only exist as cartoon characters from a TV show within “Ethan Against the Universe”, so I replaced Kia with an original OC, Desielle, who has similar powers to Kia but isn’t nearly as limited by the laws of normal magic and physics that Kia is. You know, because they're cartoon characters within the world of a comic.
Now for the info on the Alpha Heroes themselves:
Overall - The Alpha Heroes are a group of teenagers (Lenora is a pre-teen) who live on Terra, in the continent of Spara, in the country of Terton. They have more powerful physical and magical abilities then the average person, and they have decided to use those enhanced powers to fight crime and stuff, just like the superheroes on TV and in comic books. The Alpha Heroes are best friends with each other, and they will do anything for their fellow teammates. They have a large fort that they made called "The Fort" where they hang out and stuff. It basically is their headquarters.
Kellam - His character is loosely based off of Robin in Teen Titans Go, as well as Nigel (Numbuh 1, the bald boy with a red shirt and sunglasses) in Codename: Kids Next Door. He is the self-proclaimed leader of the Justice Heroes. He is an elf, at 13 years old, and he uses a powerful magic sword in battle. He is also a magic-user, and his sword doubles as a magic wand. The sword can change into a wand and vice versa at Kellam's will.
Kellam is a fun-loving kid in search of adventure, but like one of his inspirations, Nigel, he is smart, determined, and willing to do whatever it takes to stop the bad guys or get the job done. Like his other inspiration, Robin, Kellam is also a little bit hotheaded and impulsive, but he’s nicer and less annoying than the leader of the Teen Titans. He has plenty of common sense, like Nigel, but when he gets excited, almost all of it flies out the window, like Robin.
It was Kellam’s idea to form the Alpha Heroes, after being inspired to become a superhero like Marty in Super Marty Man and the Teen Titans (after hearing about it from his dad, who made a trip to Earth a few times and brought back some Teen Titans comics once).
Borgog - His character is loosely based off of Cyborg in Teen Titans Go, as well as Hoagie (Numbuh 2, the chubby boy with a blue shirt and aviator goggles) in Codename: Kids Next Door. He is an ogre, at 16 years old. He is the team’s muscle, as well as the “comic relief” character, though unlike Cyborg and Hoagie, he knows next to nothing about how technology works. Borgog uses a club in battle, loosely designed after Protobatter’s and Pwallop’s clubs in Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story.
Borgog is a bit of a trivia nerd, but he isn’t the sharpest sword in the armory either. He can usually think his way through certain logic problems if given enough time (usually a while, though), but the only common knowledge questions he can easily answer are anything related to video games or comic, or anything that should generally be known by a fifth-grader or lower. However, Borgog will sometimes remember the most random bits of trivia that occasionally will help him and/or his friends out of a jam (but just as often doesn’t really help at all, if it doesn’t make everything worse). He is also a major jokester, like both Cyborg and Hoagie. His best friend is Gezan.
Unlike most ogres, Borgog has more powers than just super-strength. It is revealed in the origin story of the Alpha Heroes that he was horribly injured by the main antagonist (I haven’t figured out much about him, except that he’s loosely based off of Slade in Teen Titans and Father in Codename: Kids Next Door). He is then healed magically after almost dying, and he gains the powers of healing, super speed, laser vision, and fire (sort of like the Fire Flower’s power in Super Mario, but way more versatile). He is the third recruit for the Alpha Heroes.
Lenora - Her character is loosely based off of Starfire in Teen Titans Go (and to a lesser extent, Raven), as well as Kuki (Numbuh 3, the black-haired girl with a green sweater) in Codename: Kids Next Door. She is a fairy, at 12 years old. She has a very powerful magic wand that can not only heal people, but also do many other things with it (sort of like the fairies’ wands in The Fairly OddParents).
Like both of her inspirations, Lenora is very kind and willing to help out anyone she comes across. She comes from the country Struelle, where the main population of fairies and pixies live. Due to this, she is rather air-headed like Starfire, but she still understands general Terran culture pretty well, if not specific Tertonian culture. She is the team’s healer, like Kuki in the Kids Next Door. Also like Kuki, she is the youngest, but also smarter than Starfire. She also likes Super Marty Man a lot and knows almost everything about it, (despite having low skill at every game she plays) almost as much as Kuki likes Rainbow Monkeys.
Lenora was the first recruit for the Alpha Heroes. She has known Kellam since nursery school, and they are in the same grade.
Gezan - His character is loosely based off of Beast Boy in Teen Titans Go, as well as Wallabee (Numbuh 4, the boy with an orange hoodie sweater and blonde bowl-cut hair) in Codename: Kids Next Door. He is a demon, at 15 years old. He is the team’s witty side with the wacky ideas. Gezan is a powerful shapeshifter, like Beast Boy, but he also uses a powerful boomerang to knock out villains (in loose reference to Wallabee’s Australian heritage).
Gezan is a little bit of a rebel, like Wallabee, but he is still a nice person when he can be, like Beast Boy. Like both of his inspirations, Gezan isn’t very smart, but he still has some brains, like Wallabee. He is also the goofiest one, a jokester and prankster, like Beast Boy.
Gezan joined the Alpha Heroes mostly as an excuse to beat up bad guys for real without getting in trouble, but he has grown very close to the rest of the team over time. He is the second recruit.
Desielle - Her character is loosely based off of Raven in Teen Titans Go, as well as Abigail (Numbuh 5, the dark-skinned girl with a purple shirt and red hat) in Codename: Kids Next Door.
She is a slime, at 17 years old. Her shapeshifting skills are even better than Gezan’s by a long shot; she can stretch, squeeze, liquify, solidify, and contort part or all of her body in ways others could only dream about. Desielle can also make herself bigger or smaller while using much less energy. She uses self-made weapons out of her own body (due to her excellence in shapeshifting) instead of normal weapons, but she still prefers either a sword or hand-to hand combat. She is the second-in-command, and the team’s brains and common sense.
Like Raven, she is the cool type, but she’s a lot less mopey than Raven (more similar to Abigail). She is also the second-in-command in the Alpha Heroes (due to her age, strength, and intelligence), like how Abigail is second-in-command in the Kids Next Door. Also like Abigail, Kia is the oldest (even though Abigail is still technically only 11). However, like her other inspiration, Raven, she has a complicated past.
She was the last recruit for the Alpha Heroes, after the rest realized that most superhero teams are a group of five, not four (with the exception of the Fantastic Four, but whatever).
And that’s the Alpha Heroes, redrawn and remastered almost seven years later.
