As is often the case with the Sith, exact records are hard to find. Little is known about the so-called ‘Darth Kerkus’, aside from the fact his first sighting dates back to just before the beginning of the Clone Wars in a minor off-world skirmish.

The most prominent piece of information one could find of the Quarren Sith involves a run-in with the 104th Battalion led by General Plo Koon – an entanglement with the Jedi Master himself as well his Padawan. Sightings of the Sith after that cease completely, leading many to believe that Darth Kerkus perished in a duel with the legendary Kel Dor Jedi.

…however, following the rise of the Empire, Darth Kerkus appeared once again, even more sullen and ill-tempered, marked by an utter refusal to discuss where he had disappeared to for the previous few years. His temper was offset by his raw skill, as the missing Sith Acolyte quickly rose through the ranks once more to become an Inquisitor, feared by all who found themselves in the path of his lightsaber.

Though Inquisitor Kerkus seemed particularly obsessed with tracking down two specific Jedi who had yet to be officially listed as deceased…

I'm fairly certain there's some character like this in the vast and expansive Star Wars canon, but I was always intrigued by the idea of a Quarren force-user. And after making his debut in a story co-authored by Nesciens and me, Kerkus followed the fate of many one-off characters who were just too fucking cool to let go. But it wasn't until LickwidZekrom took an interest in this boy that Kerkus got anything like a solid design and honestly? Huge fucking props to LickwidZekrom for how cool this guy turned out to be!
