Of all the people in the galaxy to pick up his distress signal-
Of course it would be Him. The tall, lumbering asshole who had spent over a decade harbouring some petty grudge against Din. The Mandalorian couldn’t even explain why Paz Vizsla had decided the shorter man was his rival – and right now didn’t seem like a great time to try sitting Paz down to discuss it further.
“DID I TELL YOU TO STOP, DJARIN?”
The shrunken bounty hunter’s face twitched behind his beskar helmet at the rare sound of his own name. Part of him was itching to throw back an insult but instead he bit his cheek and slowly pressed his hand back into the hot, steamy tower before him. Even with the tightly woven, damp fibres containing the beast, Din could still feel the rough flesh within engulfing his fingers slightly as he strained against the mighty skin.
It wasn’t all too dissimilar to his younger years of sparring against Paz. Except now he was using all his strength just to give the oversized Mandalorian a pitiful foot rub.
Really, it was a rather petty move on Vizsla’s part… but his ‘rival’ always had a hard-on for tradition. Old Mandalorian culture was so obsessed with shows of strength, position and power. What better way to claim your might over your vulnerable opponent by having him toil away, serving your feet?
Din just had to hope Paz didn’t have an actual hard-on underneath that plated codpiece, otherwise this really was going to end badly—
“YOU CALL THAT A FOOT RUB, DJARIN? I’D HAVE BETTER LUCK TRAINING A DAMN WOMP RAT…”
“You’d have more in common, wouldn’t you?” The snarky retort slipped out before he could think better, leaving Din to pause and slowly tilt his head up to that distant inscrutable visor staring down at him.
Dank farrik-
But Paz’s foot did not surge forward to compress his pathetic rival under it. No – instead Din stumbled back at the heavy exhale from the towering Mandalorian, and then—
CLEEEEEEEENCH…
Fifty feet away the damp, rank grip of Paz Vizsla’s toes clamped down on an intricate, complicated object – earning a few pitiful sparks for his effort… and a panicked Din shouting out.
“Stop! Stop – Vizsla, I-“
“NEED I REMIND YOU, DIN – OF JUST HOW EASY IT WOULD BE TO CRUSH YOUR FANCY TOY?”
The steaming foot twitched, forcing Din’s breath to freeze as he spotted yet another warped metal plate tear off the sphere. He shuddered, wanting to shout up at Paz and ask how a fellow Mandalorian could even consider doing this to his brethren but…
He couldn’t. Paz held Din’s future in the bored clutches of his toes. The only way Din could regrow… was currently threatening to fuse into the grimy embrace of whatever collected between Paz’s digits.
All he had to do was play along. Paz was doing all this to prove a point – to confirm that Din was below him. If all it took was giving the lumbering Mandalorian a foot rub and accepting whatever petty insults the giant tossed at him, Din could do that… considering the alternative was being stuck like this forever and condemned to an existence of being Paz’s… possession.
So, he braced himself again and TACKLED the hot, sweaty cotton, gasping to himself softly as he stumbled into the steamy socked embrace – already feeling his arm aching…
“BETTER.”
It was going to be a long day…

Flodrow featuring the wonderful Paz Vizsla from The Mandalorian show.
I like Paz. I reaaaally do – I’m always weak for the tall guy in a show, and Paz being a grumpy, gruff asshole who despite that still obeys by a strict code is a very fun archetype. Then take that and combine it with a creed that says you have to always keep your mask/helmet on? You’ve got a Nesciens special baby. While the main star of the show is Din Djarin/The Mandalorian who is still a very handsome man himself (and indeed, me and JordilianVector have written for him quite extensively on our profiles!), I do think Paz Vizsla has stolen my heart as best Mando man.
Paz and Din do have quite a fun dynamic. You don’t get any actual backstory between them in the show, just the implication that these two have known each other for quite a bit and that Paz views Din pretty negatively. ‘Vizsla’ is a pretty prominent Mandalorian family, and Paz makes a pretty big deal out of following the creed and not viewing Din as ‘worthy’ of it. Given that Djarin is not a Mandalorian family and Din was just an orphan taken in by them, I think it’s pretty reasonable to assume Paz sees Din as an outsider/not a true Mandalorian… take those existing tensions and then turn Din tiny and reliant upon the now even more massive enemy of his? A traditionalist Mandalorian like Paz has all kinds of things to make this little ‘outsider’ do to show him his place. Whether or not Paz will actually wind up regrowing Din though is left to the reader – I do think though that deep down Paz doesn’t really hate Din, so perhaps the smug man will eventually allow Din his size back… if the tiny man pledges himself to Paz.
