guys it is no longer just me against vi, now I have someone on my side! this is great news!
thank god I found the control panel at the same time as finding someone to keep an eye on it, I do not have the patience to slap vi away all the time.

I am amused by how visibly the proportions shift when I switch to a new page and am no longer able to visually reference the previous drawing. consistency is hard...
