Annie is still staring at you in horror, but you having been captured has calmed her down significantly. With the situation under control, you can finally explain yourself.
-"R-right. Hello everyone. I'm sure you have a lot of questions but first, could you please put me down ? I'm statistically safer on a table than in your hands."
-"Oh, uh, sure." Paul gently drops you on the nearest desk. You can feel a thin layer of dust under your feet as you walk on it.
Annie is visibly uncomfortable at you being able to walk freely, you make sure not to make any sudden move as to not scare her again.
Bea isn't as delicate however, and slams her hands on the desk before getting a very close look at you.
-"Okay ? So what the hell ? Who are you even ? How did you get so small ? And what did you do to Annie !?"
A strong scent of fast food comes out of Bea's mouth as she bombards you with questions. She looks visibly upset and you don't want to annoy her any further.
-"My name is Niels. Niels Colgan. I was performing a test on my new shrink ray prototype when I landed in this lab. I am not sure what exactly happened. Could you please tell me what this place is ?"
Your captors are looking at each other with utter confusion. They barely listened to you. Bea stares at Rob, who shrugs in response.
-"Did you say... shrink ray ?" Paul approaches you cautiously.
-"Yes. Why ?"
-"What do you mean 'why' !?" Bea intervenes. "Since when are shrink rays a thing !?"
-"Since years ago ? I don't underst-"
You suddenly freeze, and so does your blood. Your orange fur pales and you stare blankly at nothing as you come to a realization.
Is this your universe ?
This lab looks nothing like yours, Annie doesn't recognize you, and you have never heard of those three kids, despite being in close touch with your employees.
You ponder at this idea. The more you think about it, the more obvious it gets. This is both reassuring and disturbing.
-"Okay listen. Who is in charge here ?"
-"Uuh, like, in charge of us ? Cause that'd be Annie." Rob responds.
"But if you mean in charge of the lab, we can-"
-"N-NO ! Don't let this monster out ! We must get rid of it !" Annie stutters.
The three young scientists try and comfort Annie and mutter things at each other while you stand there, helpless. Rob approaches you.
-"Look, Paul and Bea are, like, students, I'm just an intern and Annie is having a fit so we'll take you to someone more... qualified to deal with this... y'know." He gesticulates towards Annie, then you.
-"Sure. Let's do this. But... only one of you should take me to your boss. The rest should stay here with Annie and make sure she's ok."
The trio nods vaguely. Which one should take you to the director ?
