You gradually awoke from your stupor. Your vision was blurred. You were unable to move. It took several minutes for your sight and senses to settle. You realised with horror that you were bound by magical restraints. You were lying on the ground, on a huge slab of stone. There were no walls, just a thick mist. You didn’t understand where you were or why you were here, bound. You were breathing rapidly, anxious, unable to break free from your bonds.

Suddenly! A purplish portal opened up before you. A gigantic portal spewing sparks of magic. A jarring and unsettling mix of colours. Your breathing quickened; you were completely panicked. You had absolutely no idea what was going on.

You see a deep black, scaly paw with scarlet markings, then the foreleg, before a large, powerful cobra emerges from it. A being you know all too well. The god of fire and death. The lord of the 500 worlds. The Great Devourer. A gigantic cobra, heavy, powerful, terrifying. Wearing a satisfied and commanding air. A gaze the colour of blazing gold.

He walked towards you. His heavy footsteps made the ground and your body tremble. You watched, panicked and helpless. Unable to escape what was about to happen. You saw the cobra’s gigantic, massive paw rise above you. The shadow of its paw covering you.

All of a sudden! His heavy, powerful paw came crashing down with force and ferocity onto your tiny body. The extreme, crushing pressure forced the air from your lungs and prevented you from catching your breath. You groaned in pain and helplessness, crushed beneath his massive weight, but... the god of fire and death cared not a jot for what you were feeling. Your pain gave him immense pleasure.

After several long seconds that seemed like an eternity! The paw lifted off you. You pulled yourself free, held in place by the magical bonds. You caught your breath. You groaned in pain... but the worst was yet to come.
