I've been around long enough to witness the way the English language has constantly evolved in reaction to the changing world. I've seen words, phrases and attitudes appear and disappear, often in the blink of an eye. But let me tell you, one thing will remain eternal - kids, and especially girls, doing their best to act and sound like they're from some valley in southern California. They did it when I was in primary school, they did it when I went to high school and college, and I still hear them doing it in my late twenties.
And I've no doubt they'll still be trying to talk like that in the 31st century...
