Wasteland Sunny Starscout

Study sketches for an upcoming piece for kilikkat with an anthro Sunny Starscout in a post-apocalyptic wasteland setting. Since I am unsure what exactly the patron is looking for in Sunny's mane style since they sent me numerous reference with different hair styles and I wanted to confirm I had her overall build correct I included an overall body study as well as these mane styles options.
I also want to take a moment and comment about something that comes up frequently as a question when I post pieces like this; that is the question of why I often just leave the eyes white and frequently don't put mouths on characters when I am creating studies like this?
First is that when I was in junior high I actually had a summer study/work job at a Broadway department store. In particular I was part of the floor display and promotions department, so I spent plenty of time setting up and taking down mannequins.
Second I remember seeing many examples of fashion design drawings while attending art school, and this was way the instructors had the students. I wasn't directly part of that program, but enough rubbed off on me.
I hope you like what you see. Please help make more art like this possible by supporting me at Patreon

Clothing designs usually leave the models' faces blank because you're supposed to concentrate on the clothing, not on the wearer.

That's what the instructors said in art school.

Alternatively, some say artists that can't draw faces and hands became fashion designers

Hee, there is that--! But I think it's mainly so they don't waste time--and possibly get sued by people who think "you stole my face!"--putting detail into the models;' faces. With a mannequin, you want every person to be able to imagine themself wearing the outfit.

Sunny looks like one rough-'n'-tumble character.

But through it all she still has a very upbeat personality.

Hmm, the design looks promising, at the moment.

I like hair option 4. a messier version of her regular ponytail.

FoE Sunny? I'm down for that. Wonder how the rest of the gang would look.
