I know this is a basic tip, but it is still critical. It is important to try to login early for remote interviews so you can make sure the program is working properly.

"Be on time for any interview! Tell the recruiter ASAP if there is a chance you could run late. Many interviewers, especially if using the “old school” rules, consider arriving late as a big mark against you. Being 5+ minutes late is almost unforgivable."

What if HR is late for the interview? Why doesn't this go both ways? I've seen cancelled and/or randomly rescheduled interviews.
It is one sided, unfortunately. There are no repercussions if they run late (well, you could remove yourself from consideration).
