:Biography:
Max is without a doubt, one of the most prominent kids currently attending Dino Digs Daycare! Well known and loved by many of the other kids for his upbeat, imaginative, and energetic personality, he's certainly hard to miss! Especially in his flash green jacket and baseball cap!
Anyone who knows of Max has plenty of great things to say about the Raptor! Highly outgoing and willing to put aside his current projects to help anyone out with their troubles! If you need any help or ideas with building toys, art, or play, Max's creative talents shine through! Often willing going above and beyond to deliver on his creations or suggestions! And anyone's who's been good friends with him knows just how much he will often dedicate to any friendship! He's willing to share or lend plenty of his cool toys, or invite you over to his house to play video games with him, and as he comes from a rather wealthy family, those are things he's not exactly short of! Also, chances are if it's your birthday, he's probably the one who bought you the largest present!
It feels a little too good to be true... He's almost the image of a perfect friend... So... is there a catch? Well, yes...
Max's biggest flaw is, well... I wouldn't say he can't take criticism, more like he handles it really poorly. He will often overcorrect on his 'mistakes' and actions in a way that could be detrimental, burning himself out, or expanding his own health or energy in an effort to please the world.
Sometimes he would even take into heart bad or destructive criticism that may not be valid. Making it difficult for him to ignore those harsh remarks, which frequently return as intrusive thoughts with the idea of "what if they DID have a point?" Almost forcing him to consider them to some degree, even if they serve little to no value, which could often lead him trying to please those who outright hate him.
Maxwell's poor handling of criticism has often forced him to put on a near hyper-positive attitude, acting like nothing is going wrong in his life, and refusing to tell his friends about his true feelings and worries. Believing himself not worthwhile compared to what others are going through, considering his background of being born into a highly privileged life. While it is true that Max is a legitimately fun-loving and carefree kid personality wise, he would mask his negative emotions so much, even from friends and family that it can be hard to tell if anything is truly bothering him, trying to keep up that image of the 'perfect' friend, so many people view him as.
All of this could possibly tie to the idea of Max wanting to be a future influencer, with all those videos he's watched of online personalities loved by millions, and how poorly audiences react to even the smallest of flaws, has caused him to aim for a near impossible standard of perfection that no one can truly achieve, which has been truly taxing for such a young child like him...
Toxic positivity and acting like nothing's wrong is very much a real thing, and its awful! But hyper-negativity about how everything is terrible without any solutions to fix them doesn't help either. Thankfully, Max, as a creator has already taken the first step to solving both of those issues, sometimes, you just gotta be a creative and make or do things anyone can get behind, and if they make the world a better place, that's even better! Just don't burn yourself out doing so!
:Interests:
Max is highly fond of Air and Spacecraft, and whether he's drawing or playing with building toys, he's sure to design some of the coolest pieces of aviation any kid his age has seen!
And with his father working as an actual Aerospace engineer, and his mother being a university professor, Max is one heck of a smart kid, having a shockingly high amount of S.T.E.M. knowledge for a 5 year old. Basically, if you want to know how to fold a paper airplane that would do 2 loops and fully glide across the class while landing neatly atop a shelf out of your reach, Max is your go to guy!
Some of his main physical interests include Skateboarding and Baseball! An avid skateboarder, Max often rides his skateboard to daycare and often uses it as his main form of personal transportation whenever he's out of the house.
He's also a talented baseball player and can handle any position given to him!
As a pitcher, he's great at throwing some curveballs or fastballs that will easily strikeout even some of the most alert kids!
Whenever he's fielding, make sure you don't hit the ball in his direction! That kid is somehow able to calculate its trajectory and catch it before it ever hits the ground, and even if it does, his fast running speed will halt anyone who tries to go for the bases!
And oh boy, when he's batting... well... he's a hard one to catch, chances are he's at second or third base by the time you've got your hands on the ball, and that's assuming he hasn't hit a home run...
:Notes:
To any Paleo Nerds, I'm well aware of how Dakotaraptor is now considered a dubious genus, but there is some lore from LAT (which is a prequel to DD) about how the Dakotaraptor came to exist.
Basically, Dakotaraptors were genetically engineered elite dromaeosaurs built specifically to lead the Legion's raptor packs. their heightened intelligence and amazing agility made them some of the most feared units of the Legion.
Although by the events of Dino Daycare, tensions between the Greentooths and Sharpteeth are mostly sorted out, and Dakotaraptors were augmented like many other Dinosaurs to be around an even level to everyone else (and also to help standardize medical procedures), so in the modern day they're quite similar to Utahraptor.
Although... this actually ties a little into Max himself, and that his near 'perfect' personality and attitude on the surface does seem a bit too good to be true, almost like how Dakotaraptor was the real life JP raptor everyone wanted, until it's existence was bought into question. Much like how Max tries to keep up that image of perfection, while being highly doubtful deep down.

I think only Dash and Clay are left, unless you intend to update some of the side characters? (Maybe Tracy's "boyfrien" aswell, given he's not been seen mostly.)
The reason for all these recent refs is to hopefully make these characters more consistent and easier to draw.
I do actually have Clay done, but since I tend to save him for last, Dash will probably be drawn first.
Still, that aside, I do think having the potty trained characters having more focus isnt nessaricly a bad thing. Helps build up the DD universe, plus even of they dont have diapers, they're still cute to see. I dediently agree with the complicated thing though, he's bird, raptor and all around unique which is a good thing even if its tad har.
Still, i'm looking forward to Dash. I hope you didnt remove the trainers, though, that's not only something that makes her character---helps balance the tough tomboy edge now---but it'd make the only diaper using character in the main team Clay. And as you said, you're an account posting diaper related contex
And I have been thinking to make Dash toilet trained during the day at least, she still wets the bed and wears trainers to sleep. But yeah, Clay will be the only character on the main team to be diapered, as they're a significant part of his character design and personality.
For some reason, Max sort of reminds me of myself back when I was in elementary school, a kid growing up in the 90's.
