Ricky the cat and his friend Gerald were simply out exploring old buildings, when they came across one with a strange vial sitting in a cabinet.
“Whats this?” Gerald asked as he gently picked up the small vial of bubbly green liquid. He shook it and examined it “it looks like soda or something…what do you think?” He turned to Ricky, who was poking aimlessly at an old stove.
“Hm? Oh yeah it looks tasty…” he said and walked over with shiny greedy eyes “can I have it?” He asked, his tail starting to twitch with excitement. Gerald shrugged and handed it to Ricky, who promptly popped open the top and drank around half of it. “Ah! It’s surprisingly sour! Reminds of sour candies a bit…” Ricky thought as he started to walk around the building. Gerald nodded in acknowledgment, and kept digging through the cabinets.
Ricky was just about to ask if Gerald wanted to go, when he felt an odd feeling in his belly…he looked down and his eyebrows raised with worry as he saw his usually flat belly beginning to protrude and bulge. He poked it and it felt soft, but bubbly for some reason…he was just about to say something to Gerald, when he suddenly felt a intense sensation in his lower body, and he gripped his belly, his eyes widening as he knew what was about to happen.
“What’s up? Did you say someth-“ Gerald asked, turning around because he heard Ricky make a slight noise, and turned just as a powerful fart blasted out of Ricky. A exaggerated green cloud quickly filled the room, while Ricky shut his eyes tight and grunted.
“AGH!” Gerald coughed and quickly shoved two pieces of black rubber he had found on the floor into his nostrils. “What’s going on? Can you stop doing that?” He asked and grimaced. Ricky opened his eyes and looked back at Gerald and shook his head “it won’t stop! And my belly’s getting bigger too!” He said and turned, his belly now quite big, and the rest of his body slowly filling out as well.
“What was in THAT?” Ricky asked as he bent over and groaned. Gerald picked up the vial and shrugged “uh…dunno…” he said and shook it again, then opened it and sniffed it “hm…smells like…I-i don’t know what this smells like.” He shrugged again. “THAT DOESNT HELP! UGH WE NEED TO GET BACK TO THE HOU-*PRFFFBBT!*- H-HOUSE!” Ricky shouted over his loud flatulence.
Gerald nodded and took Ricky’s hand to help him walk, as he was only growing bigger and bigger…
They managed to make it back to their house, where they called a friend who was an alchemist, fin the ferret. Fin showed up to their house to see Gerald wearing a gas mask, and a now huge Ricky surrounded by a green cloud. She sighed and looked at Gerald “what happened now?” She asked as she walked over, plugging her own nose with some tissues. “I don’t know! We found this in an old building and Ricky drank like, half, and now he’s doing THAT.” Gerald said and gestured at his flatulent friend.
Fin took the vial and examined it, and then opened it and poured a tiny tiny drop onto a small device she was holding. “Hm…ah. I see.” She said and nodded and looked at them both “this isn’t meant for animal consumption that’s why. This is called bubble fuel, it’s meant to jumpstart large flying vehicles, ufos, planes, hovercrafts, anything that floats. Usually it would uh…cause you to float yourself, however i believe since your body isn’t a normal animals body, and rather a toon animal, your body reacted with extreme inflation and um, flatulence, to rid your body of it asap. Be grateful this is what’s happening to you, most animals would float into space and freeze to death.” Fin explained. Ricky’s eyes went wide and he sighed “that’s great…so how long will this last?” He asked, barely able to speak through the constant kerfuffle of his own gastric system.
Fin ran her paw through her fur and shrugged a bit “if I had to guess…a day? Don’t worry though, you’re a toon animal, this won’t be permanent, we all know next ‘episode’ you’ll be back to normal” she said and smiled “next time though, don’t drink strange things you find in old buildings, okay?” Ricky nodded, and Gerald took the vial and dumped it down the sink. Fin bid her farewells and left their house.
It did indeed take the rest of the day for Ricky’s body to get rid of the bubble fuel, by the time it was over, he was nearly spilling out of the house, and everything stunk. Gerald climbed up on Ricky and smiled “it’s over finally! Happy?” He asked with enthusiasm. Ricky groaned and shook his head “no…I’m itchy and I can’t reach it, I’m starting to get sleepy, and I really just want to eat something normal…how long will it take for my body to uh…shrink?” He asked tiredly. Gerald smiled and patted his friends head “oh don’t worry, once our ‘writer’ writes us a new story, a new episode of fun, you’ll be back to normal! But hey on the bright side, at least others probably enjoyed this huh?” Gerald said and laughed a bit. Ricky smirked a little and nodded “yeah…at least the audience is happy…”
