Sollozzo and Vincenzo watching New York burn. My universe’s version of Little Italy is kind of a mix of time periods. The story takes place in the 1930s, but I borrow elements from the modern era too, such as the “Welcome to Little Italy” sign and restaurants like Benito One. 1930s cars roar down Mulberry Street and crowded tenements dominate the neighborhood.
