This piece was just waaay too big for me to scan. I'm trying to get more serious about my work and become a professional artist, but I learned a great lesson with this piece. Silver colored pencil does not photograph well. Still, the actual piece looks really good, and I might be able to get a better picture once there is a frame on it.

This is a nine-banded armadillo next to a cactus. I did my best to grid out this large piece of paper, drew the pic, then went to town on it with some colored pencils.

They are my favorite animals, and I'm thinking about doing a series of pieces based on the grid concept. If anyone has any interest in it please let me know!
