ILDAYRAH

She tried to understand the world, but words failed to make her see that it is always changing, moving in a constant flow and rhythm. Following her intuition, she wanted to return it to what it once was, to burn the ground beneath it all, even if it meant burning herself in the process.
I’m working on a brand-new set of collectible cards and prints to get into the mindset of MYRE Vol. 3 and to finally kick off a print shop I’ve been planning for quite a while. The past few months have been an emotional rollercoaster, and I definitely let some of that flow into today’s piece, Ildayrah. She's a main character throughout the entire MYRE series and has gone through major developmental changes.
The Ylducians have a very distinct aesthetic and shape, which I wanted to capture here as well. It took me several attempts and many scribbles to get it just right. Normally, larger dragons are shrouded in clouds, dust, or other atmospheric elements that conceal their true size. But it was important to me to figure out her shape in a standing position, as she will be far more present in the next volume. :)
Thank you so much for your patience. I hope you enjoy this one!
Cards and prints will be up, hopefully soon! I'll keep you updated! :)

this one looks soooo stunning...
Loving it!
I am going to paint her >:3
My god she looks like a total natural disaster and force of nature that took form and flesh
The rage of her fire is unbridled, the might of her paws can crush even mountains, wings with one sweep will create firestorm
It is the sight that can terrify even the bravest of hearts but at the same time it grips the heart with its dangerous beauty
Incredible piece of art
This artwork here turned out to be an absolute masterpiece in itself...and I am just a little biased maybe....for certain reasons. But I love the way you showcase Ildayrah here. I do really love all the details, the massive broad and heavy paws the razor sharp giant claws and fangs...her impressive horns and enormous super powerful body build, the muscles underneath the beautiful sharp edged scales.
What looks especially striking and amazing here is the way you have shown the fiery glow from her flame between the scale plating at the belly, chest and throat as well as the flying ambers and sparks, clearly heralding the untold Inferno she is able to unleash. Absolutely breathtaking and magnificent beyond mere words clearly.
I am very happy to see her in such suitable glory and also hear that in the coming parts of Myre. She is definitely my favorite Character in the story so far for multiple reasonss~ and it fills me with great joy to be able to see more of her too. It is sadly so rare to see some proper feral dragons in stories like this and then also displayed and shown in the true and right way you do it here. If you plan to do prints and cards be assured that I will be highly interested in them for sure.
