In truth, I'm as traditional as they come, and this was really a *quick* job as I started it this morning. So that you what is going on, this is sort of a *fan* art for characters for The Fennex's "When the Moon is Half Full".

This nifty little comic chronicles the lives of two friends who tragically misjudge the power of a magic potion. Yeah... people tend to do that. You shouldn't BAD things happen. No really...
This particular potion, provided by Jimbo was supposed to have allowed them to become werewolves (with human intellect) for one night, however when Ashley woke up the next morning still in werewolf mode, she knew then and there something wasn't quite right. Over the next several pages, the two friends come to grips with the fact that instead of returning to their previous human forms, the potion is working in reverse, turning them completely into wolves. The plot and artwork is quite simple, and Fennex keeps things light hearted, despite the fact that his two main characters are slowly losing themselves. In many ways it is a relatively dark story, but then again, as almost everything I write tends to get pretty dark, I loved it.
I blatantly stole the title off of a saying from Deep Impact's cover art, but I think it serves the purpose. I wasn't really planning on doing any sort of *fan* art, as I have way too many things on my enchilada, but as I was browsing through a bunch of wolf pictures for a book I'm working on (I'm a LOT better writer than I am artist. :P) I saw this picture of two wolves licking each other's mouths. It was so intimate and tender that I had to use it for Jimbo and Ashley. Granted, as far as I can tell, they ain't in love, but considering what is happening to them, I thought it fit perfectly. It's as if Jimbo's saying, "It doesn't matter if the world ends, I'm still here." ah... I know you're crying so just stop. :P

THanks! I really liked how Jimbo turned out, but for whatever reason, unknown to man, I REALLY REALLY had a hard time with Ashley's head. I'll probably try a go at again, with a different approach, quite possibly on a bit smaller paper, as I BARELY was able to get this thing scanned. I'm glad you liked it. :)
