Done for a series of buttons I'll be selling at an anime convention.
Other first-gens I'm considering - Vulpix, Eevee and eeveelutions, Charmander and Squirtle, Pikachu, Ponyta, Gastly, Cubone, Garados, Dratini.
Second gens - starters, Hoothoot, Pichu, Maril, Umbreon and Espeon, Houndour, Corsola, Lugia and Ho-oh
3rd gens- starters, Mudkip, Kyogre
4th- Chimchar, Shinx, Buneary, Lucario, Leafeon, Glacion.
Other - pokeball, masterball
I'll probably do a total of 6-11 more characters from the list above (to total 10-15 pokemon button options). If you have any in particular you want to see, comment! If I don't get comments, I'll probably just do all the eeveelutions and pikachu hehe.

I chose the ones I did because they were a few of my personal favorites. Every first gen I named was a Pokemon I wished I could have for myself when I was a kid . I don't even know how many times I drew these guys when I was younger, and they were actually a big part of what got me started drawing. Perhaps they are popular for a reason.
For the other gens, I also chose pokemon I had an attachment to, though I did stick to ones that are more well known (I will be selling them, so they have to be recognizable).

There are definitely some that inspire a lot of people to draw them. However, I find that I still like seeing how each artist interprets them in their own style :)
If you have a under-appreciated Pokemon you want to see drawn more, you could always commission myself or another artist to draw it, or draw it yourself. Also, there are many artists who take requests.
