Tenshi_Oskar is joining the local Pathfiner 3.5 Eberron game that I'm playing in so he needed a mini. He's running a Half-Orc Paladin named Chok Vong of the Silver Flame with my Warforged Gunslinger. In order to play with us he needed a mini so I offered to paint it up for him. This is the first player character mini I've ever painted for someone else.I played around with a lot of colors on this one as well as did something I haven't done before... flocking. I'm not totally sold on it, maybe its the cheaper flocking I used or the smaller (non-rimmed) bases or the sand that I added to my gunslinger... but the grass on this one is growing on me. I also started putting on some Clear Matte Sealer which I've noticed kind of dulls some of the colors but I guess that's better then having it chip off.
The miniature was created by Reaper.

for the most durable finish- use a gloss varnish, then run over it with some Testor's Dulkote. Easy to get stuff- one thing though- DO NOT dulkote on a humid/rainy day, or it'll 'frost' the mini and ruin your paintjob.

Haha, I have to do all my primering inside because its too dang humid all year-round here and found it to be making my minis fuzzy. Even doing it inside thos the clear matte I used frosted the mini a little bit, which made me sad.

Aww... well, your next best option, they make Dulkote in a brush-on too. A room with two damprid tubs in it should be able to dehumidify enough to help.

As far as I know Pathfinder is nothing but 3.5 just not owned by Wizards of the Coast.

...which I heard (from my mate, an avid 3.5 player) is a good thing. I was introduced to table top RPG through Pathfinder so I have a soft spot for it.

I started with 2nd ED but so far Pathfinder seems pretty balanced and is an easy system to pick up. I'm liking it. I've done some 4th ED, that wasn't too bad.
