this I took last summer, I'm only posting it as a contrast to the tiny spider pics I took recently. THIS one is about 2 inches from leg to leg, I wasn't about to put my finger near it:P

i've seen those in the woods before. THIER FAST AS FUCK!!! peter parker's special effects and bullet time weren't far off. theese suckers can dodge a full baseball bat swing inches from impact! I've done it! (btw, wolf spiders are little and grey and live in funnelwebs)

lookd this little but-fugger up. they ARE the world's fastest spiders the Tegenaria gigantea, or "giant house spider".

Dubbed the world's faster spider by the Guinness Book of World Records, this rather large spider is commonly mistaken for the Tegenaria agrestis, or "hobo spider", which is commonly mistaken for the Loxosceles reclusa, or "brown recluse spider". The latter is only found in the Southeastern and Midwestern United States. The former two are found here in the Pacific Northwest.

i HAVE seen a couple in the basement, one was on my iggys cage, kept destracting her while i was trying to feed her.

This appears to be Dolomedes tenebrosus. A type of fishing spider, which is in the nusery-web spider family.

d'aww...but there is no zoo close by...little ones but they're all closed for the season...*whuffs* I've written one little story, it should be in my gallery...it shows my lack of paitence...it was to be a chapter...but I wanted to get it done fast and it ended up as a page..:P
