I second the deadmau5 vibe, though mostly only in the intro with the sidechained crash and the drum samples. A little too minimalistic for my tastes and sounds like it could do with quite a bit more going on, but I still really enjoy it none the less.

Certainly not crap, but empty. What's there are fantastic ideas, but it's just lacking a few things. Like you said, it's a preview which could very well explain that away.

I can't quite say. It just sounds like it's not as lively as it could be. Sounds like it could use more lower frequencies, but I can't tell at low volumes, but it sounds like most of the low frequencies are just the kick drum. Perhaps I'm wrong, as I am listening quietly on some not-so-bassy monitors.
