hmm... im pretty sure orion is to the left of the moon because i see orions belt and Betelgeuse is his shoulder, the big red star, Auriga and Taurus and the pleiades to the upper right,Sirius is below the moon(bluish star) and is part of Canis Major...Gemini should be in there somewhere, proababl;y behind the moon, although i think i see Pollux and Castor left and above the moon, Canis minor and Procyon are on the left....At least, thats what it looks like to me....
Total freekin' winner of all the Nerd Points!
Castor is just above the moon's surface; the rest of Gemini is behind the moon. Procyon and Canis Minor are also behind the moon.
Cancer and M44 are to the left of the moon, and the head of Hydra.
You sure know yer stars there!

Orion is fairly well known..but i look at the sky frequently wif my telescope, Procyon is one of the closest stars in the sky(11.4 light years) and one of the brightest, and canis minor is in that area of the sky....im proabably one of the biggest astronomy nerds you'll ever meet, i also like the moon globe(i have a map of the moon on my desk with all the craters and lunar maria charted out ) Maybe i should do my own astronomy pic
Yep!
If you look closely where the northern axis is (above the cow's rear hoof's shadow)...you'll see the stem that goes through the globe and connects to the outside semi-circle that I erased.
The Apollo mission landing zones are shown in the middle of the globe. The globe is from the mid 1970s.
The cow's one of them squishy toys to keep you from getting carpal tunnel.
They're both sittin' as pictured on the little table next to my plants. I was just going to post the picture...but decided they would look better in space!
