I was experimenting with voice sync. My first time (second if you counted a half-done attempt when I first picked up flash, that sucked) and it looks pretty good.
Hardest thing was to animate both movements and the mouth together, so I did them separately.
I really gotta work on my art. I'm seriously drawing it so inconsistently, the whole thing jitters. And I realize that flash messes up my handwriting. (I SWEAR my handwriting is NOT that ugly.)
Well, this was pretty fun, I've spent 3-4 hours on this one.
Credits-
Song: Face Down by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. It was the first one to come to mind (and pretty nice song too)
Art: Me.
Welcoming constructive feedback on this one, as with all my other submissions. (Do I really HAVE to put this there all the time?)

Hm.
I'm not certain if this is criticism as much as an idea- what if you sang/spoke the music/words you were lipsyncing, and videoed it? Then you could animate without having to predict what the mouth should be doing- instead, one just matches the expression via timestamp. Instant lipsync!
Is this an extremely obvious idea that has some critical flaw / is what you were doing already? ^^; (That's usually what happens when I have an idea like this :I)
By way of actual criticism, methinks it is quite well done ^u^ I rarely animate, much less lipsync, so about all I can say is 'It looks nice.' Could do with more frames and less juddering but you've already addressed that. So, murr.
And, as always, the expressions and postures are adorable and I wish I could animate like that. .~.

:D Anyone is welcome to comment; there are no strangers here! :D
The idea you suggested was a pretty good one, and it has been done before. It is an animation technique called rotoscoping. It's just tracing over live video. The main flaw here is the anatomy. My fox has a muzzle, very different from humans. And obviously, I can't get dogs to talk. So... well, it does work in human animations. Looks realistic, but somewhat less exaggerated (in which exaggeration is the effect I'm trying to get)
Anyway, thanks for the comment! Really appreciated.

Oh, I didn't mean tracing; I meant using the video to know the general mouth shape/expression at a given point in time. (And mentally translating it into the character style.)
But as you also said, sync wasn't a problem, so, erm.. moot point. ^^
Also yay, I'm not a stranger! :D

I watch this before going to bed! No really I did… it resulted in a serious side-effect: when I would listen to music I can only imagine foxes singing the lyrics. If I would listen to something instrumental, they would be playing the instruments. Although, I’m not really going to complain about it… ;)
I think it’s wonderfully done, especially for such a short amount of time. The movements are really expressive and seem to fit well. Criticism? It’s too short. :P Constructive criticism? I guess transitional frames between poses would give better smoothness and fluidity, but that’s just being picky.

Heh... maybe the world is being invaded by foxes!
I did smooth out the frames by inbetweening for the first verse, but the result wasn't that good. So I skipped it (only made minor corrections) for the next three verses. Maybe I gotta practice before my inbetweening looks better.
