Here's a present to honour my favorite kitty perv pal and his lovely mate Mandy, the catwolf. =^0^= <3
They hooked up a while back now, and I've been wanting to draw them something to celebrate their happy union. Ara is one of my best friends here, and the way he talks about his girl is just too sweet. You won't meet a guy much more in love than him - he's on cloud 9 thanks to his beloved kittywolf. =^x^=
Why is she in her underwear? Ummm.. well a gentleman in love he may be, but he's still a pervert (and HE usually draws her way more naked than this). ^_^'
Congratulations you two, and best wishes for the future! <3 xoxoxox
PS. Was watching a bunch of romantic chick flicks while I drew this one. Then I had The Cure's "Just like Heaven" on loop while tinkering in PS - hence the title. @_@

I have a slight disagreement with Robert Smith: love is not "just like Heaven," love *is* Heaven; and your picture brings memories of that Heaven vividly to mind. In all the years that have passed since then, I can honestly say that nothing -- nothing -- has matched the joys of that Heaven, and I doubt that anything ever will.
One thing that I do *not* doubt: your skills with colour have become very pleasing to the eye. Used without care, these browns, blues, magentas and purples might easily become garish, but here they blend together well; the effect is very soft and smooth....
Like a woman. :)

You really are an enduring romantic, Mark. Please... don't ever change!
It's funny you should mention my skills with color, because it's something that I've always been a bit awkward with - hence the many black and white pieces I've posted in my time. I'm very clumsy when it comes to choosing a palette for pieces. I kind of just throw together the tones I think look nice without much consideration of whether they go well together. In this case the characters' own colors meant that I didn't have a great deal of say in the matter, so I think we can call this a case of "dumb-luck". =^_^'=

On the other hand, you might have a better eye for colour than you think. Play around with colour, experiment, and see what happens; if anything goes wrong, our screams of agony and outrage will let you know. ;)
As for being romantic, well... the great difficulty there is to find a woman who is *also* romantic; they seem to be scarce these days; their needs and expectations are very modern, and they have no time for old-fashioned men with old-fashioned ideals.
Or perhaps they have no time for old-fashioned men who are old; that might be the source of my trouble. ;)
