and accidently pulling the needle up instead of through ripping the nipple in half. in panic, the woman giving the piercing bumps a nearby saltshaker causing salt to fall on the bloody nipple with an intense burning pain. the ambulance comes, the medics open the door, get on the floor, everybody walks the dinosaur.
About a half a inch bigger than a American quarter, or a Canadian 'Loon. So about... what a inch and a half? ..That looks about right.
While you don't wanna go stomping on them with lead filled high-heals, they've survived light drops to concrete floors.
Oh and being flung out of my hand by the buffer wheel. Had my heart stop on that one.

Were you poked in the head with them as a child? I personally lose them. I have never seen a type of earring so prone to falling off a person's ear...
I think my next personal project will be to make something like this:

Those are less pron to falling out. and if they do you notice it because they're pretty big.
Once I master that, other similar earrings should be simple.
That, and I want to make a pipe.
Maybe a finger ring too...

I have been jabbed so many, many times by a french wire. They jab you right before they fall out, landing somewhere you can't quite reach. You can buy little backs made of cork or plastic for french wires, but they've always seemed to slip out anyway for me. However, I find that if the bangle is lightweight enough, the cork back holds the earring in.
That faux spacer is really pretty, but the real thing would be amazing :0
And a pipe would be the coolest.
