I worked out something awesome yesterday.
I worked out a way to use the laser-cutters to etch a photo onto anodized aluminum dog tags. As a test, I did a picture of me and some random woman.
The aluminum oxidizes to white when it gets hit by the laser, so by varying the intensity of the laser according to the pixel value of the image I can get photos onto black anodized aluminum.
This sort of thing would make a great badge that you could wear around all the time.
I am opening up for commissions for these! $15 gets your image engraved onto a dog tag. Heavy discounts on multiples.
The dog tags are 2 inches tall. I should probably get some of that ball chain stuff.

That's true, you do make those tiny little paintings for dog tags.
If you're interested, I am more than happy to offer artists this sort of service. I'm not in any way a graphic artist, so if I want to make these sorts of things I have to collaborate with people who can actually draw.
